Event description
genSTEM - Summer Holiday Workshops
This summer Manchester Youth Zone will be running the holiday hunger club which supports over 30 local children who suffer from ‘Holiday Hunger’. This is for the younger students within North Manchester who during the school holidays have less access to hot and nutritious meals.
We want to inspire children aged 8-12 to think about STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, maths) and careers using demos and interactive activities. This will be a great chance for young people to experience the countless ways technology and science are used in the world.
Would you and your team like to get involved with creating and running some fun & interactive workshops for one (or more) day of the club’s duration?
Here are some details;
Audience: 8-12 year olds from North Manchester on our Holiday Hunger programme.
Dates: Every Monday-Thursday, from 29th July - 22nd August 2019
Times: 9am - 2pm
