Event description

Work Related Learning programme. Come and support our enterprise market! We hope to get 15 volunteers!

We are recruiting professional volunteers to support our exciting work experience programme for year 10s at Evelyn Grace Academy. This fun fuelled 3-day event takes young people on a developmental journey, designed to develop the skills and confidence they need to achieve fulfilling futures. Here's how you can help:

Thursday 18th July: Interview Carousels

After a session on the STAR interview technique and identifying their values, young people will spend the afternoon putting their new learnings into practice. You will join us as an interviewer, holding a series of short interviews each followed by positive feedback and reflections. Spiral will be on hand to facilitate the session and provide you with a full brief and interview sheet, leaving you to focus on putting their communication skills to the test.

Friday 19th July: Enterprise Market Place

Our enterprise day supports young people to develop their own social enterprise ideas followed by a master class in pitching. At the enterprise market place, you will be loaded with monopoly money and have to journey the market using your business nous to invest in young people's ideas and provide feedback wherever suitable. With a live leader board and over 30 ideas to invest in, this will be a fast-paced and exciting session for all!
