About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly. Combined they employ 82,400+ people.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Nicki Douglas for 200 students at Robin Hood Junior School aged Age 9 - 11.

Event description

Inspire our students, especially our girls, to take a greater interest in STEM and to break down any gender role misconceptions they have.

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
