Event description

Role models in STEM

Dear Sir/Madam,

As Villiers Park Scholars we are running an independent INVOLVE project to develop several skills such as project managing, confidence and public speaking. We would like to invite you to our event, which will revolve around all aspects of STEM.

In this session, we would like STEM influencers to share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire year 10 students to make informed decisions about their future and inspire them through different activities such as a presentation or experiments.

Speakers could ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now
• Speakers could also include exciting experiment if needs be

To make you aware, around 3 other influencers will be attending, therefore we would like you to speak for around 20 - 30 minutes.

I hope you are available and that we hear from you soon.

Best regards,
The Y10 Villiers Park Scholars from The Commonweal School
