Event description

Year 10 mock interview practice

As part of our year 10 preparing for post 16 enrichment week, students will each have a 15 minute mock interview. This is to help build confidence and an understanding of the interview process as well as preparing them for future interviews.

Students will choose a job specification of interest in the morning and spend the day preparing to be interviewed for that role in the afternoon. During the day they will learn how to answer interview questions correctly, how to talk on their strengths and suitability for the job.

All interviews will take place in our main hall. Each student be given a set time for their interview. Once they enter the hall they will sit in a waiting area until an interviewer is ready to see them. The interview will have a set of questions to ask and but welcome steer the interview as they see fit.

The interview should last around 5 minutes. The student can then sit back in the waiting area while the interviewer prepares their feedback. After feedback the student is free to leave. The process for each student should last about 15 minutes.

The interviews will run from 1:25pm-3:05pm on Thursday 25th July.
