Your future workforce is waiting for you at Greater Manchester's largest speed networking event for young people!

About this Event
Following the hugely successful event in 2018, the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, and Bridge GM are running the Meet Your Future youth speed networking event again this year during National Volunteers Week 2019. We are delighted to invite your organisation to take part.

Event details
Quality encounters with employers are vital for the future success of Greater Manchester’s young people. On the 6th and 7th June 2019, 1400 students in Years 8, 9 and 10 (ages 13-15) will have the chance to take part in exciting and high energy networking events with business professionals from across Greater Manchester. The events will take place at AJ Bell Stadium, 1 Stadium Way, Eccles, Manchester, M30 7EY.

The aim of the events are to inspire and inform Greater Manchester’s young people about the range of career options and pathways available to them, and the industries/skills that are growing and in demand across our city region. This is not a careers fair, but an opportunity for young people to take part in discussions with business professionals, rotating around tables in small groups throughout the morning/afternoon.

Ask of volunteers:
Volunteers do not need to prepare or bring any materials/resources to the event, but are asked to discuss their job role, day-to-day responsibilities, pathway and professional experiences with the young people during the speed networking event. The young people will have undertaken preparation activities and might come prepared with questions to ask you. A full briefing note will be circulated in advance of the event.

It is a really exciting event to be held in Greater Manchester and we hope to see you there!
