Event description

'Speed Networking' style event to enable the year 8 students to be able to meet and talk to a wide range of employers. Ask questions about the career and career pathways.

We’re going to have a dedicated careers day and I’m looking for volunteers to help me with an afternoon activity for our Year 8 girls, starting at 1.30pm and finishing at 3.15pm. The plan is to find enough volunteers to enable a careers ‘speed dating’ activity, where the girls work in groups and try to figure out what your career is. They will only have ten minutes with each volunteer so it will be a fast and furious afternoon! But once they’ve identified your career they will be able to ask questions about what attracted you to it, your career pathway and what you enjoy about your job.
