Event description

Is maths useful for my career?

We are hoping to inspire our S3 pupils as to how maths is useful for a variety of careers. They are going to be challenged to research careers which involve some level of mathematical skill and sell those careers at their own careers fair. Ahead of this challenge, we would love some industry experts to come in and enlighten them as to how maths is useful in their jobs.

In terms of logistics, there are 5 classes that come to maths during Period 1 (0845 - 0935) and another 4 classes that come to maths during Period 2 (0935-1025) and we would like at least one person to speak to each class. Other than that, we are flexible about arrangements.

Anything you can offer us that will inspire the pupils would be amazing!
