Event description

We need you to help kick off our Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge at Prince Edward Primary School, Manor Top Sheffield.

Young Enterprise’s Fiver Challenge offers young people the opportunity to take part in an enterprise activity and develop their employability skills, personal knowledge and career readiness. Using real money, they have one month to create a product or service to sell or deliver at a profit. We would like to invite local Business Leaders into our classroom to prepare, support and inspire our pupils.

This is our second year of taking part in the Fiver challenge and we hope that this year will be bigger and better than last. Which is why we would like a speaker/ speakers to kick off this event and inspire our children. At Prince Edward's, we strive to provide our children with a board and balanced curriculum, while having lots of different experiences. Our school is situated in a very socio-economically deprived area of Sheffield. Our children enter our nursery and reception classes well below national average, however at the end of KS2, 80% of our children leave us above national in progress and attainment.

We don't want to stop there though, we want to inspire and motive our our children to continue on this positive journey and achieve their dreams, apirations and goals. being life long learners. We need your help to show case what is out there in the big wide world and all the different things that can accomplished even by starting off small with just a fiver.
