Event description

Our healthy jobs fayre

Our primary school is holding its first ever careers event on Tuesday 11th June and we're focusing on the broad range of careers in healthcare. The Roodlands Hospital in Haddington is currently being rebuilt and as part of this project we're keen to inspire children find out more about the different types of roles in healthcare. We aim to encourage young people to think about a career in healthcare, whether that involves working in a hospital itself, designing or building it or developing the technology which supports healthcare.

We'd like to invite contributors to spend time with both the P1-3 group and the P4-7. We plan to have 6-8 stalls around the main hall which the children will rotate round every 10-15 mins. We'd like contributors to talk children, run a very short activity or show a piece of equipment or technology to inspire them. We'd like your input to be fun and as interactive or hands-on as possible.
