Event description

Industry volunteers to support teachers in making jobs in networking REAL for students

We, Queen Mary University of London, are looking for industry volunteers who can talk about IT jobs in the networking area e.g. network administrators, architects, managers, cyber security etc

We are undertaking a programme of work for the Mayor of London to improve job awareness of young people by supporting teachers in developing classroom teaching activities which embed careers information and careers related activities.

Volunteers will be paired with a teacher who is attending a training course on teaching about networking to secondary age pupils. As part of the course, teachers will be implementing a project on networking in class. We would like the volunteer to work with the teacher to include a session on careers in working in tech related to networking e.g. network admin, architecture, cyber etc. Volunteers might also choose to support one of the general lessons on networking to help bring the subject alive.
If you are interested please find out more from Queen Mary University of London. Schools will be from across London
