About the teacher and students

The event was created by Zoe Hill for 400 students at Havant & South Downs College aged Age 16 - 17.

Event description

Inspire up to 400 college students at Havant and South Downs College!

Finding Your Future will connect young people with relevant role models to bring jobs and career pathways to life for students who have the potential, but not currently the inclination, to pursue higher education (including degree courses at college or university as well as higher or degree level apprenticeships).

We are looking for role models to take part in a one-off volunteering opportunity which will support up to 400 college students.

Tuesday 4th June 2019, 9am – 4pm
Havant and South Downs College, Havant Campus, New Road, Havant, Hampshire, PO9 1QL

We are looking for a minimum of 15 business volunteers from a range of different industries and roles to support to college students in learning about the careers available to them.

Each business volunteer will work with groups of up to 15 students to highlight the skills and qualities needed within the workplace. Business volunteers will be given the opportunity to share their own experiences and explain about the career pathways into their organisation.

The day will be facilitated by Business in the Community leads, and full resources and training will be provided for business ambassadors in advance (via webinar).
