The event was created by Suzanne Lockwood for 50 students at Manchester Communication Academy aged Age 13 - 14.

Event description

Young Enterprise Learn to Earn - inspire and motivate young people to be the best they can be.

Learn to Earn allows young people to think about their dreams and aspirations for the future and the types of career they want to go into.

Group A - 8.30am-11.30am (with 15 minute break)
120 Year 9 students maximum, split into x4 groups of 30.

Group B 12.15-3.15pm (with 15 minute break)
120 Year 9 students maximum, split into x 4 groups of 30.

10 minutes in each classroom ‘telling a story’ about their career journey:
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Why they find it high impact
• What they enjoy most about their career
• What subjects did the study and what decisions did they make along the way
• What mistakes did they make and how did they learn from them
• What skills is their company currently looking for in their new hires

These meaningful encounters inspire students and have a positive impact on their future life choices.
