Event description

Brampton Manor Academy 'Futures Day' Group Interview and Mentoring with Business Leaders

Brampton Manor Academy is a mixed ability academy school in Newham, one of the most deprived boroughs in London. Of our student population, 59% qualify for pupil premium and 76% speak English as an additional language. The Academy is ranked as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and has recently been in the media for our students’ success in receiving 41 offers from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The young people we work with are incredibly hardworking and inspire us every day.

We are looking for business leaders to run group interviews followed by group mentoring as part of our annual 'Futures Day'. The aim of this day is for Business Leaders to support and encourage small groups of our students, to maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they aspire to be.

Business leaders will meet with students in small groups to run a mock group interview from their sector followed by answering questions from students, discussing routes to employment and offering guidance.

The timetable for this day is below:
8.35am-9.35am- Group Interview and Mentoring session 1
9.35am-10.35am- Group Interview and Mentoring session 2
10.35am-10.55am- Break
10.55-11.55am- Group Interview and Mentoring session 3

Please note: Brampton is running a similar programme on the afternoon of the same day, if you have received an invitation for one but the other would suit you better (or if you would like to offer to support for the whole day) please email us at community@founders4schools.org.uk and we will gladly arrange this for you.
