These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Clare Angus for 100 students at Ancrum Road Primary School aged Age 9 - 11.

Event description

Inspire our students and help them to make the links between learning in school and the world of work to help promote positive destinations.

We are inviting speakers into school as part of a week looking at 'Developing the Young Workforce' (dates and times are flexible throughout the week of 13th May).
Sessions could be in classes of around 30 or to a larger audience of around 100, depending on what the speaker was most comfortable with.
Speakers could share career path, including:
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Why challenges did they encounter
• What they enjoy most about their career
• What subjects did the study and what decisions did they make along the way
• What mistakes did they make and how did they learn from them
• What skills is their company currently looking for in their new hires
