Event description
Come join our Careers Fair
Objective
Throughout their time at Garth Hill College students take part in a diverse range of activities and experiences which encourage them to think about their next destination – whether that is higher education, an apprenticeship, vocational training or finding a job.
On 5 June we would like to give students a sense of the broad range of opportunities offered by a variety of employers – both in terms of careers and apprenticeships. On the previous week they will have meet with universities and specialist colleges to learn about higher education opportunities.
Venue
The Employment & Apprenticeship Fair will be held in the Sixth Form at Garth Hill College. The intention is to have an informal atmosphere which is conducive to discussion and learning. We will place the different stalls around the ground floor open area and students will move to those they feel are of interest to them. We do not require any slide presentations but you may wish to have slides on a laptop and other materials to hand out or display for the marketplace discussions.
Set Up
Please let us know if you will need a table and chair(s) if you would like to use them as a desk for any handouts or other materials. Vertical pull up banners would also work well in the space.
On Arrival
Please enter via the main College entrance, turn left and drive towards the Sixth Form Centre (signposted) at the far end of the car park. There should be ample parking. Please report to Reception at the Sixth Form Centre where you will be signed in and given a red lanyard. You will be escorted at all times by a member of College staff or student.
