Event description

Employability Skills and Labour Market Showcase at St. Alban's Catholic High School, Ipswich

Come and join our employer panel to give advice and guidance to our VI formers about their next steps. We are looking for ambassadors who can share their career journey and support a small student group through skills-building exercises. These events help pupils learn a range of attributes to boost employability, develop enterprise opportunities and prepare young people for the world of work. In addition to this, students can gain an in-depth understanding of why integral skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills and independence are important within the workplace. Our skills showcase takes place on Tuesday 19th March, 10:45-12pm. No prior preparation is necessary; you will be asked to talk about your career history and skills that you feel have enabled you to be successful and give advice to the VI formers re networking and skills development. I will be facilitating the event with my colleagues and will provide a business ambassador briefing prior to the start of the panel and exercises. I hope you can join us.

Best wishes,
Hannah Wild
