Event description

STEM/WORLD OF WORK PRIMARY CAREERS FAIR AT HILLINGTON PRIMARY

his is the second year of our Primary STEM and World of Work Careers Fair for our pupils at Hillington Primary. Last year was our first year and was a huge success. We had 5 STEM ambassadors visit us. They each set up a stall in our gym hall alongside other local business and our P4-7 pupils were invited to visit the stalls and ask questions about the various jobs being advertised. Some STEM ambassadors brought along props and experiments to showcase. Our pupils had a particular interest in the STEM stalls and were keen to learn more about STEM and the various career options available. The careers fair has helped us to raise the profile of STEM within our school and we hope to continue this good work by making it even bigger and better this year. We would like to invite any STEM ambassadors and workplace speakers along to our Careers Fair to share you experience with our young people. We promise that you will have a fun afternoon and will be helping us to make a big difference in the lives of the young people we work with. Date: Tuesday 26th March Time: 1-3pm
