Event description

STEM Event- IET Faraday Challenge 'Mission to Mars'

During this event S1s will complete the IET Faraday Challenge ‘Mission to Mars’. Pupils will be split into teams of six and assigned roles within the team. In the team pupils must design and build both a rocket and a rocket transporter with a limited budget. At the end of the day the rockets are judged and then launched to find the winning team.
We need volunteers to offer technical STEM advice which the pupils can 'buy' and also judge the entries at the end of the day. This would be a great opportunity for professionals to showcase the career opportunities their field involves as well as inform the pupils how their jobs work.
