Event description

Inspire our students during Digital Learning week

During Digital Learning week, we would like to help our pupils understand more about the jobs available in the digital technologies industry. Many of them say that they would like to be games designers or "youtubers" in the future but are often not aware of what these jobs actually entail. We would like to inspire the children by learning about the different opportunities out there for a career in the digital sector but also let them see the reality, hard work and effort that they require. We would like to invite in speakers to talk about:

o Your career path – how did you find this career?
o Skills and qualities you require in your role
o How you use literacy and numeracy/ STEM within your current role
o Job satisfaction/ Rewards/ best and worst aspects of your role
o Any practical, engaging activities that the pupils would enjoy participating in

Each speaker would be allocated a 30 to 45 minute slot during digital learning week to a class.
