The event was created by Derek O'Brien for 25 students at Auchmuty High School aged Age 16 - 16.

Event description

Inspire our students to get involved in Engineering as a career and the opportunities available to them.

Show and explain the specific skills required in a given industry. This will provide valuable insight to young people considering a career option and give confirmation to those young people preparing to leave education for further/higher education or employment.
As part of the Engineering Science course we teach students about the role of the Engineer :-
Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronic, Civil, Structural and Environmental.
If the business leader could relate any of these engineering fields to their industry and what skills, knowledge and attributes are required, this would be fantastic.
