Inspire our students at London Academy Careers Fair

I am writing to invite you and/or representatives to our upcoming Careers Fair.

London Academy Careers Fair: 7th March 2019
On Thursday 7th March 2019 London Academy, a large, mixed 11-18 school in Edgware, is hosting a Careers Fair 6.30-8.00pm.

Why do we need you?
We need industry representatives from a wide range of industries and backgrounds to talk about their route into work and what is required to get there. If you feel that this email is no longer relevant to you, please pass on this opportunity to the relevant individuals/ departments in your business or organisation. I do understand the sacrifice involved in giving up your time to come along to the careers fair but it really does have a significant impact on our students’ aspirations and we really appreciate all of the support we get from our wonderful volunteers.

The format
Arrivals start from 6.00pm on Thursday 7th March where you will have a chance to set up and have some refreshments. Students will arrive from 6.30pm. You will be provided with a table and display board and have the opportunity to speak to students individually (or with their parents) for a few minutes at a time. Conversations will mainly revolve around what your job involves, what you like about your job, what students need to focus on now to have a chance of participating in a career like yours and maybe what a typical person in your career might earn.

Can you run a workshop?
Throughout the evening we host a range of workshops for our students. If this is something you or your company may be able to deliver, then please get in touch.
