About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly. Combined they employ 25+ people.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Linda Dorgan for 150 students at The Burgess Hill Academy aged Age 14 - 14.

Event description

We would like you to help our Year 9 students choose their options. In return we offer you breakfast/networking breakfast at 8.15am

Business leaders participate in a series of short, focused conversations about specific career questions and topics. Business leaders meet a limited number of mentees in 10-minute time slots each.

These encounters should be set up as a student-led, ‘carousel’-style activity, where groups of students move between different business leaders, with pre-prepared quick-fire questions.

Speed mentoring offers students the opportunity to ask meaningful questions to a range of different business leaders, to gain an insight into their working life and receive advice on the skills that are needed to be successful in today’s economy.
