Young Enterprise Tenner Challenge
We are a very small special school for children in care. We currently have a group of 5 secondary aged boys who will all participate in the tenner Challenge. All our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have limited understanding of the World of Work - particularly Enterprise. This event will help to set the scene for the Tenner Challenge in March. Young Enterprise’s Tenner Challenge provides an interactive way for students to develop employability skills, personal knowledge and career readiness, using real money to take calculated risks.
I am looking for a local business leader to come in and talk informally with the students about setting up a business and making it work. It would be great if this led to further links in the future e.g. support with mock interviews, or opportunities for the students to visit a work place. It doesn't matter if this is not possible!
