Successful Futures at The Kings of Wessex Academy, Cheddar, Somerset

I would like to invite you to exhibit at The Kings of Wessex Careers Fair on Thursday 14th February 2019. At the Kings of Wessex Academy in Cheddar we believe that inspiring students and enabling them to achieve their potential is key to a bright and successful future. As a large, exciting, vibrant and successful community we want to give our students the very best opportunities to find out about the world of employment and training, and we would like your organisation to help us achieve our ambition.
Why my organisation?
• It’s a chance to show case your organisation as a positive, forward thinking company that wants to make a difference to young people and their futures
• you will meet hundreds of young people in one day – some may even turn out to be future students, trainees or employees of yours
• you can promote skills shortages and recruitment opportunities
• network with other likeminded organisations

  Who will be there?

• a parent looking for information to support their young person, whether they are making option choices or deciding which route to take next . We know how difficult it is to get the right information so please come and help our parents / carers navigate that minefield.
• a young person unsure of their choices and the types of career they might be interested in, it’s a great opportunity for students to broaden their career thinking and discuss different career possibilities.
Any further information?
Companies will set up stalls in a space set up by the school and may bring business cards, leaflets or some technology to showcase to students. Students will have the opportunity to informally approach lots of different employers, talk to them personally and ask questions
• The event takes place on Thursday 14th February 2019
• Please arrive and set up from 14.00
• First Session - students will be able to visit your stall and talk to you between 14.15 and 15.15.
• Complimentary refreshments for organisations available 15.15 – 15.45
• Second Session – open to all students and parents / carers 15.45 to 18.30.
