Event description

Adding that bit extra - how languages can help your career

We are running a workshop event and would like to ask you to participate in running a 20-30 minute workshop for a group of S3 pupils who are about to make their subject choices for S4. The idea is to open their eyes to how the ability to communicate in another language can enhance their career prospects no matter which industry they work in. Moreover, we would like them to understand that having a degree in a language is not a pre-requisite - knowledge at any level of language can push you forward after you leave school.
Our intention is to ask you to run two workshop sessions of 20-30 minutes to let our pupils see how languages impact on your specialist field and to give them the opportunity to ask questions and get involved with any tasks that you may choose to do with them.
If you are interested in coming along, I would be very pleased to hear from you.
Thanks for reading this!
Best wishes,
Suzanne
