Event description

Come Join 'TechOver' Day an Interactive Careers Fair at Manchester Youth Zone for local schools and colleges.

TechOver is an interactive careers fair that aims to introduce local schools and colleges in North Manchester to technology and how it is shaping the modern workplace. It will offer them a chance to experience how new technology can improve and reimagine existing jobs, as well as create new ones.
We are looking for companies, employers and universities from a wide range of sectors who can provide either/or inspirational talks, practical experiences or presentations with technology. This can include digital communication and marketing, animation, coding, simulations, robotics, virtual and augmented reality, aspects of environmental sustainability, logistics, special effects, aspects of IT or any other areas of work that will inspire young people with a passion for technology.

The attendees are mixed age groups: primary School students (10+11 years old (max 150) 9:30am – 11am, secondary School students (14-16 years old (max 150) 11.30am – 1pm and college students (16-18 years old (max 100) 2pm-3:30pm. We are organising the groups so they move around the stalls systematically.
