I have a 30 year career as a senior female leader working in technology at DHL and O2. I have a degree in History which I think helped my career in tech. My experience is that it isn't necessary to have traditional or expected background or expertise to work in something you are really interested in - you just have to have a real interest, curiosity, a willingness to learn and a lot of determination. I am also a judge for a number of startup competition awards. I really want to encourage others to consider how they can enjoy working in a career in technology and innovation or as an entrepreneur.
