Come join our Careers Fair
Dear Colleague,
I am the Careers Coordinator working with the UCL Academy School in Swiss Cottage.
We are hosting a major Careers Fair on the 24th Jan 6-8 p.m. which will be attended by students and parents of Years 9-13 and more than 40 Exhibitors from a range of career sectors, so it promises to be a very busy evening.
I speak to many students, especially from our Year 11 and Sixth Form, who are aiming for careers in the IT sector and creative industry and we are keen to ensure that this sector among others is adequately represented. It's our objective to introduce students to people and experiences to inspire them to become motivated learners, and the opportunity to speak to professionals from your field would be so inspirational for them.
Exhibitors will arrive at 5.15p.m. for refreshments and the chance to do some networking, and the Fair will open promptly at 6p.m. with an address from a guest speaker. We are also arranging some press coverage.
I would be delighted to add your company to our line-up for the evening.
I do hope you will be able to attend.
Best wishes
Eranda Aliu
Careers Coordinator
Business leaders from fast-growing local businesses can join career fairs all year round.
Companies will set up stalls in a space set up by the school and may bring business cards, leaflets or some technology to showcase to students. Students will have the opportunity to informally approach lots of different employers, talk to them personally and ask questions. It is important to note that there should be no expectations of any job opportunities being offered by business leaders at a careers fair but this is a great way for students to experience a wide range of businesses in their local community and for businesses to begin to build their talent pipeline.
