Event description

Inspire our students with a workplace visit

Workplace Visits enable students to visit places of work in their local area, experience the work environment and have meaningful interactions with employees.

Workplace visits are an exciting way for students to gain insight into the world of work, feel inspired by dynamic working environments and imagine themselves in the working world. Workplace visits are also an excellent opportunity for a business to help inspire the future workforce and begin to build a stronger talent pipeline.

We suggest the following format for the visit, as it is researched-based and proven to have impact:
• Introduction by the business leader or host, including career history
• Introduction to the company
• Panel of speakers from various areas of the business
• A tour of the office
• Closing remarks

This is a bespoke group of young people who have expressed an interest in leaving school in June to either move on to college, an apprenticeship or employment.
