Event description

Inspire our Senior Pupils!

Develop the skills of young people helping them to develop broader understanding relating to gaining and sustaining employment.

I'm looking to arrange a session for our S5 / S6 PSE pupils who are not planning on going to university. Many of them are unsure of what to do or perhaps they lack confidence when recognising what skills they have and how they could be applied to the workplace. I would really appreciate a speaker / speakers to talk to the group with the aim of:

Appreciating different career paths (not always university)
Helping pupils identify their skills
Getting pupils to think about how they present to others
Improving awareness of how to search / apply for jobs

This is a suggestion of how I would see the event going, however if you have a particular experience or skill set that you feel pupils will benefit from hearing about then I'm open to suggestions.

We have an S6 and S5 class back to back, so hoping you could deliver the same session twice (50 minute sessions) to different groups of around 20.

Thank you
