Event description

Empower our girls to say their ideas out loud, not be pushed to sit back down but rather to lean in and change the world!

We are a large school with a low-income catchment area. There is a gender gap in our data, with our boys usually outperforming our girls, particularly in maths and other STEM subjects. We recognise this issue and we want to change it. This year we are focused on getting our girls into STEM. So far we have learnt that the desire to be a part of it is definitely there from our girls. It has also become apparent that many practitioners within our school have a shared idea of the type of women we want to grow.

Reading the short blurbs on Founders4Schools has given me an indication that you possess many of the qualities we want our girls to have; a drive to succeed, the determination to not give up, the high quality ideas to change the world for the better, the confidence to ensure your idea is heard. In addition to this, you have made the internet a better place in some way - a challenge we'd love our girls to take on in the future.

Our girls have the desire, now they just need someone to signpost the journey for them and we'd love them to hear from you!
