Event description

Kelmscott School Professional Interview Day

Kelmscott Secondary School is a mixed gender secondary school based in East London. We are hosting a Professional Interview day on Thursday 22nd November 2018 and would like to invite your organisation to attend. The purpose of the event is to prepare the pupils for further education and work. We will be holding mock interviews for each pupil from a range of different industries.

The interview questions are quite general and will not be specific to your industry. Pupils will be given a job specification prior to the interview and will complete a job application form for a ‘mock’ job from a selection of positions. They are also encouraged to write their CV. Pupils must dress and act appropriately, as if it was a real interview.
We aim to ascertain whether the pupil will be a successful candidate and there will be an assessment and evaluation of outcomes.
Pupils will be assessed on their presentation as well as their ability to communicate and interact with the interviewee.

The event will start at 8.50am and last until 3.00pm, but you are not expected to stay for the whole duration. A minimum of 2 hours will be ideal, as each interview will last approx 15-20 minutes with pupils allocated time slots throughout the day. We ask interviewers to give verbal feedback about their performance at the end of the interview.

We will provide refreshments throughout the day and lunch to those who will be here at lunchtime.
