Event description

Inspire our students on Ada Lovelace Day!i Can you inspire children with your personal story? You could be a changemaker.

Ada Lovelace Day is an international celebration of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). It aims to increase the profile of women in STEM and, in doing so, create new role models who will encourage more girls into STEM careers.

Invite an inspiring business leader into school to speak to your pupils about their personal journey within the field of STEM and the different career opportunities within science, technology, engineering and maths.
We would like you to talk to a group of students about how you have used computing in your careers. How have the innovations of Ada helped you. Can you fill the children with excitement about working life, tell your story of how you got to where you are now in your career. Maybe it wasn’t all plain sailing? This is always a good story for young children as they don’t know what they want to be yet and their minds are there to be opened. Our children are from diverse backgrounds with many from non working homes. Your visit could be the inspiration they need.
