Event description

Please come join our Careers Fair to help transform the life chances of our students

We are a secondary school in a hugely disadvantages area of London (Vauxhall) where the majority of our students are designated as "pupil premium" (ie. from very low income families or who survive solely on benefits). Our students will also often be the first generation in their family to attend a university, with a significant proportion who are classed as refugees and asylum seekers. In order to break the cycle of poverty we wish to encourage high aspirations in our students and to demonstrate to them that there are so many options for them, many of which they have likely never heard of.
In the careers fair Companies will set up stalls in the school gym and may bring business cards, leaflets or some technology to showcase to students. Students will have the opportunity to informally approach lots of different employers, talk to them personally and ask questions.
