Event description

Inspire our prospective sixth form students and help to shape their career ambitions

We are running a sixth form taster day for our current Y11 students, with this session focused on those planning to study Business. As part of their sixth form programme they will visit companies and learn more about how to develop their skills and networks, so we would like to give them a taste of this through a speed-mentoring activity.

Business leaders will participate in a series of short, focused conversations about specific career questions and topics. These encounters will be set up as a student-led, ‘carousel’-style activity, where groups of students move between different business leaders, with pre-prepared quick-fire questions.

There will be 2 sessions run back-to-back, with the same content repeated for each groups of students.

Speed mentoring offers students the opportunity to ask meaningful questions to a range of different business leaders, to gain an insight into their working life and receive advice on the skills that are needed to be successful in today’s economy.
