The event was created by Beverley Evans for 100 students at Ormiston Forge Academy aged Age 11 - 17.
Event description
Inspire our students
On Wednesday 27th June we have 2 events - the first is for our Year 7 HATS (High Achievers) where we ask employers to come in and the students have to ask questions and find out what the employer does. I call it the Careers Detective. The employer usually brings in a prop from their job as a clue.
That runs from 12.25 until 1.25.
We then have a Speed dating type of event with our Year 12 students during their HE week. Employees with a degree or Higher Level apprenticeship come in and the students ask them questions for 5 minutes about their job before moving on to the next table. That runs from 2.10 until 3.10
