About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly. Combined they employ 332+ people.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Kate Macnish for 25 students at Kincardine-in-Menteith Primary School aged Age 8 - 12.

Event description

Inspire our students

Children are undertaking an enterprise project and would really benefit from hearing how professionals either set up their own businesses or how they manage their own business with regards to budgeting/product innovation etc.

We are also particularly interested in digital technology/literacy so this would also be an option as children would be interested to hear the careers that are possible using digital skills.

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
