These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.
The event was created by Liz Yoxall for 250 students at King Edwards VII Lower School aged Age 13 - 14.
Inspiration required
Business leaders from fast-growing local businesses can join career fairs all year round.
Companies will set up stalls in a space set up by the school and may bring business cards, leaflets or some technology to showcase to students. Students will have the opportunity to informally approach lots of different employers, talk to them personally and ask questions. It is important to note that there should be no expectations of any job opportunities being offered by business leaders at a careers fair but this is a great way for students to experience a wide range of businesses in their local community and for businesses to begin to build their talent pipeline.
King Edwards school would like to invite companies from all industries to attend their lower school aspirations fair. Set out like a traditional careers fair with employers and truing providers allocated exhibition space this event will focus of letting young people know about the type of jobs that currently exist in different industries and they types of job that will exist in the future. Students will be briefed before hand and given a treasure hunt type activity to encourage them to speak to as many different employers as possible to find out more about what is available to them before they select their GCSE options.
As this is a full day event companies are welcome to allocate different members of staff at different times to speak to students
Please note the event will take place at the lower school site.
