Year 10 Careers Day

In order to start to prepare our students for The World of Work, we are planning a year 10 Careers Day on Wednesday 27th June. All students will be off timetable for the whole day and will be involved in a series of different workshops. One of the workshops is Mock Interviews and that is a where I am hoping your organisation would be able to help. As a professional, with not only employment skills but also life skills, I wondered whether you would support our event by completing some interviews with students. The mock interviews will be split over 2 sessions and will run from 1pm to 2:30pm. with a briefing beforehand at 12:30pm. The mock interview will give students some experience about the interview process and help them to focus on what makes a good interview and how best to impress a future employer. We also want to allow some time for feedback and reflection on the interview during the sessions. Our students gain great benefits from spending time with ' real people' from the world of work and I would be really grateful if you are able to give up some time to help with the interviews.
