Event description

Female Business Leaders - STEM Pathways
Hear first-hand from inspirational women who have studied, or now work in STEM.

This event will form part of a series of talks to our Year 12 girls who are thinking about their UCAS choices. Each week, we hope to feature inspirational women from a range of industries who can share their experiences and histories, provide advice and guidance on how to reach their goals, and motivate them to choose a STEM-based pathway for further education and their career.

Speakers will share with students:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Students will be able to ask questions of the speakers to ascertain whether or not they are interested in doing further research into the degree courses or career paths highlighted.
