About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Julie Thompson for 50 students at Corby Technical School aged Age 11 - 11.

Event description

Inspire our students

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
We want our students to be the most employable students in Corby, part of that is allowing them to engage with successful business people who can explain the risks and opportunities that they took to reach the point they are now at. Our year 11 students are preparing for GCSE's and some meaningful motivqtion would be great.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
