Event description

Villiers Park - Year 10 Scholars Residential

THIS IS NOT A STANDARD 1 HOUR EVENT

You will be joining a group of approximately 30 Y10 Scholars who are attending a two day residential. The focus of the residential visit is to design a new university. For many Scholars will be their very first interaction with the idea of university education.

Aims of the visiting speaker visit:
• To promote the importance of developing transferable skills and personal attributes (Skills4Success) in life beyond school and college
• If appropriate to promote the role and importance of university for progression into employment

Visiting speakers will:
• Provide a brief introduction to themselves and their work
• To support Scholars using our Skills4Success matrix and promote the skills required for the workplace
• Provide feedback to Scholars about the Skills4Success that have been developed while working with Scholars.
