Event description

Year 8 - Be Inspired Event

  1. Careers Speed Networking (2 sessions of 30 minutes each)
Students will be in groups of approximately 6. They will have a list of questions and will be based at a table in the Main Hall. Employer volunteers will sit with a group to answer their questions and give them an insight into their profession. This will last for 6-7 minutes, after which time a whistle will blow and employers will move to another group of students. The intention is that each volunteer will see 4 groups of student per session

  2. What's My Job? (2 sessions of 30 minutes each)
This will take a quiz style format and will be hosted by a member of staff. There will be a panel of 6 employer volunteers who will take questions from the students to which they are only able to answer yes or no. Students will be invited to guess the job at any point. We may also ask volunteers to give some clues if students are struggling and at the end to give a very brief overview of what their job involves

Volunteers will only participate in one of these workshops as they will run simultaneously
