Event description

Come join our Raising Aspirations Event

Following the amazing successes of Raising Aspirations 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017, we have secured the University of the West of England Exhibition Centre on the 5/6 February for Raising Aspirations 2018 and we would like you to come along too.
Schools in East Central Bristol join together for this exciting event for all Year 9 students to gain inspirational Careers Information, Advice and Guidance. We ask you to join our celebration of the wealth of opportunities and career entry routes for students as they start to think about their own individual pathways.
There are four main areas of focus:
• Higher Education: Local Universities delivering information about courses and qualifications.
• Local businesses: giving practical advice on routes into employment/careers.
• Further education and training providers: offering information and advice.
• Employability skills.
We would really like to see you and your organisation for both days at the event and urge you to book a stand. We would like you to deliver a 20 minute interactive workshop throughout the day (exact details to follow), tailoring your delivery to engage Year 9 (13/14 year olds) students.
Key note speakers will have several inputs throughout the two days with refreshments and lunch served during the day. Car parking is available and we'll send out maps/permits nearer the time.

Please contact either Tim Holmes or Gill Carter by email to book a stand or request further information.
tholmes@bristolmet.net or gill.carter@bristol.gov.uk
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Tim and Gill (For and on behalf of the Raising Aspirations team)
