Careers Panel Discussion for Year 8 students
Understanding the relevance of what you learn in school for your future

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
This session is to help inspire Year 8 students about the Digital and Technology world of work. They are about to choose their GCSE options to start in Year 9 in September.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey: Please outline;
• What do you do and what is a typical day?
• Subjects you studied (especially at GCSE) and how these are relevant now?
• What inspired you to choose your career path?
• What can you tell the students to inspire them to want a career in the digital and technology sector?
• What do you enjoy most about your career?
• What skills did you learn at school that are currently relevant in the job you do now?
