Event description

Careers Event with Networking Opportunity with Teachers

Gracemount High School are holding a career event to inform and inspire young people considering the vast array of potential careers available. This may include showcasing current job opportunities within your organisation or explaining the pathways that young people can take to obtain a job within your organisation/industry.

I would like to invite you to our first ever Careers Event at Gracemount High School on Wednesday 10th January. We would be delighted if you were able to run a stall to highlight opportunities in your industry for young people.

The event will be run in conjunction with our well established course choice information fair. It will follow the following format.

13:30 Set up

14:00 – 15:30 The fair will be visited by students from S2-6 from both Gracemount and Liberton High School.

15:30-16:15 Time To Catch Your Breath (soup and sandwiches available)

16:15-17:00 A networking event with Teachers

17:15-19:00 Course Choice evening – opportunity to meet with both students and parents.

The format of the day and evening is a marketplace. Parents will have a brief meeting at the start of the evening and this will be followed by time to browse the marketplace and speak to the employers and different departments about career pathways.
