About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Susan Gower for 75 students at Croydon High School aged Age 14 - 17.

Event description

Inspire our students at our STEM Networking Event. This will be a relaxed optional event for girls interested in STEM related careers yr9-13

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
The up-coming event is to highlight people working in a STEM related career. The Breakfast would last about an hour and would begin with me introducing you all, and then straight into “breakfast” time, which will be the opportunity for you to mingling and chatting with the girls. This is an excellent opportunity for our girls to practise their communication skills, to develop a network of career links for their chosen career and/or to find out about the range of careers open to them.
Speakers will speak to individuals/groups about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Coffee , pastries and croissants will be available.
