The event was created by Mike Reid for 50 students at Stirling High School aged Age 15 - 16.
Event description
Inspire our students
In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
As part of our STEM Week we would be hoping for an insight into Engineering careers - skills required and the variety of potential employment opportunities. This would be aimed at some of our S4/5 pupils who are currently working towards National 5 or Higher qualifications in Science and Technology courses.
