Event description

Year 9 Careers Day

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
As part of our Year 9 Careers Day, it would be great if students could hear from successful business people about how they started their career journey, what they have learnt about themselves and what they see as being important employability skills.
